Sidereal

via Daily Prompt: Paper

We are paper kites

Floating in the cosmic blue

Inky nightsky embroidered with neon lights

Bubbles of cloud, we soar through

Reaching godly heights

We were paper kites in the sky

Enveloped with stars like a million fireflies

A war cry or a lullaby?

Watching the summer sunrise

Our strings collided; a paradise collapse, a majestic yet painful descry
