Hello all .
Five Sentence Story Prompt, a dream which turned into an initiative a few weeks ago has finally taken a step closer to becoming reality as we have finally concluded with the formation of the Core Admin Team who shall be hosting the prompt every week.
As mentioned it shall be a weekly prompt where entries within five sentences shall be entertained. The winner of the prompt gets a chance to write a guest post on the Admin’s page and shall receive a virtual badge.
Since there were limited seats available in the core team, I conducted a challenge where all the willing candidates were asked to submit a Two Sentence “Only Dialogue” (intrapersonal or interpersonal) write up based on the prompt word : Emacity (n) (uncountable) – The desire or fondness for buying things, or more generally for spending money.
Etymology: From the Latin emaciates, “the desire to buy.”
The challenge was to construct a write up using the prompt word as the framework or even use it itself in your writing.
I received 5 entries from 7 willing candidates. Here are those:
Mila: Angel:’ How do you manage to keep him so cruel?’
Devil: ‘His fondness for buying children does!’
Riya:“Her emacity bought her everything ,treasures and lust alike”
“But she never had enough to buy the relationship with me” said her real daughter.
Jaya: “So why did you think it was necessary to order and buy a wax statue of you picking your nose?”, he asked her holding his steam inside the head.
“Uhm, isn’t it cute?”, she pointed excitedly at the statue standing behind him.
Sparsha: “Does this poetry earn you a living?” asked society.
“Emacity is not what my soul thrives for.” Passion replied
Shubham: “I’ve grown fond of buying you things which you secretly desired during our harsh times. Maybe someday you might get tempted to descend from the stars.”
It was hard deciding from these amazing writers but finally I came up with the 3 names which I thought were the best in all respect. With this I here present you the final core Admin team of the Five Sentence Story Prompt:
- Diganta Misra from Plastic Souls
- Sparsha Mishra from ImaginateWeb
- Mila from Doodling Panda
- Riya from Aestheticgraphy
Congratulations to those who clinched a spot in the Core Admin Team.
However I strongly urge all the readers to visit the pages of the candidates who failed to go through, but on a very honest note, they are one of the finest writers I’ve ever seen here. Here are the links to their page:
Without all the support I have received this initiative wouldn’t have been possible and I thank everyone involved for the same.
The first prompt challenge post shall be out tomorrow as we kickstart the Five Sentence Prompt Challenge. Watch out for the space.
All the best.
