The warmth of the sun

A rose craves, color and mirth

For Spring the rose prays

Winter wins the war

The rose void and defeated

Pool of blood petals

Comes the Spring again

The rose is born, colors rise

A cycle of life

*written in response to RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt Challenge #152 Color&Warmth. For the first time I have used the actual syllable structure of a traditional Haiku in all of the 3 stanzas which is a 5-7-5 syllable structure*

That was supposed to be me waving my arms in astonishment. But it just ended up like some weird thing. Oh whale. Once again, H.O.W.
